Why form a company in Cyprus?

Can a foreigner own a Cyprus company?

Yes. A foreigner can own 100% of a Cyprus limited company. There's no requirement to be an EU citizen to own one. For the company to be genuinely tax-resident in Cyprus, though, its management and control should sit in Cyprus, which is why local directorship is often recommended.

How long does it take and what do I receive?

Every package includes an express incorporation service to register your company as quickly as the Registrar allows, once your documents and identity checks are complete. You receive certified Memorandum & Articles of Association plus your first certificates: incorporation, registered address, directors and secretary, and shareholders and share capital.

Do I need a Cyprus director or registered office?

Every Cyprus company needs a registered office address and a resident secretary, both included in your first year. A Cyprus-resident director isn't legally mandatory, but it's strongly recommended if you want to prove the company is managed and controlled in Cyprus for tax purposes. What's the catch - is everything included in the price?

We're upfront about costs. The formation package covers the core setup; some items are genuinely optional (nominee shareholders, a Cyprus director, VAT registration, apostille) and are quoted clearly. Every active Cyprus company also needs annual audited accounts by an independent auditor, which is a separate yearly cost.

What are the ongoing yearly obligations?

From year two, you maintain the registered office and secretary, file an annual return with the Registrar, hold an AGM, file the UBO register declaration, and, for all active companies, prepare audited financial statements and a tax return. We bundle the administrative side and coordinate the audit.

Can I get Cyprus tax residency as well?

Accepted Answer

Yes. EU citizens can combine the company with non-dom status, giving up to 17 years of exemption on dividends, interest and capital gains. It requires meeting residency conditions (the 183-day or 60-day rule) and a Cyprus lease, which our non-dom package supports end to end.

Trading company or holding company - which do I need?

A trading company actively sells goods or services and usually needs VAT registration. A holding company passively owns shares or assets and benefits from Cyprus's participation exemption on dividends. Both use the same Ltd structure, we'll help you pick based on your plans.
